New Topics and Themes
We get asked every year, “is every week of camp the same?” For the most part, in the past, the answer to that question has been yes, but this year – nope! Week 1 and Week 4 will look similar in their lessons and focus on the animals and areas of the farm and be a general Farm Camp Fun. Week 2 for both our 1/2 day camp and full day camp, there will be an intentional focus on Farming Around the World. Agriculture looks different in different climates and cultures, and we’re excited to explore that with our campers. Week 3, our 1/2 day camp and full day camp will focus on Farming Through the Seasons. We’re excited to offer this variety for our camp for all ages. No matter which week your child attends, they will still get to explore and interact with many animals and areas on the farm. There is so much to learn and explore together!
Why Farm Camp?
If you’ve been thinking about signing your child up, just know they won’t be disappointed. Our campers tell us year after year that Farm Camp is the highlight of their summer! Here’s what some of our past camp families have shared:
“My littles LOVED Farm Camp with the Bowers. Both my son and daughter had a great time meeting the animals, exploring the garden, learning about farming, and having fun with new friends. Two thumbs up!”
“My kids absolutely LOVE farm camp! From the first year they participated, they never stopped talking about it. They were (and still are) constantly asking when they can go back.”
“An amazing opportunity for my daughter to combine her love for the outdoors and animals. She’s always excited to go back each summer.”
“As a parent with a shy kid, I was so appreciative of how the staff took time to listen to my child's needs and update me throughout the week! My child left with great memories and confidence.”
“We loved farm camp! Our daughters loved the hands-on learning. Sarah and Brandon are amazing hosts, and all of the counselors are very knowledgeable and are great with all the kids.”
Farm Camp is for Everyone!
It is our deepest desire for Farm Camp to be accessible for ALL children! We strive to offer accommodations to our campers with disabilities with the money from our scholarship fund. This money goes towards paying extra staff to be present for our campers with disabilities to ensure a positive experience for all campers and to make sure we can integrate all children together.
We don't want to say that we can accommodate everything, but we are promising that we will try and that everything is certainly what we’re aiming for! We will do our best to work with parents and guardians to make sure we have a specific staff member that is the right fit for your camper; whether that be a child with developmental or intellectual disabilities like Autism, a child with limb differences, a Deaf or hard of hearing child, a Blind child or child who experiences low vision, we want to learn more about how we can provide an accessible experience for all children.
When you register, there will be a place in the registration to designate that you’d like to request accommodations for your child and from there Sarah and Brandon will speak with you about how to best make this happen.
So Mark Your Calendars!
Don’t forget: registration opens Monday, February 3rd at 7:30 PM! Spots fill up quickly, so be sure to register early to secure your child’s place at Farm Camp 2025.
We’re looking forward to another unforgettable summer on the farm, and we hope to see your child there!
See you at Farm Camp!
